John Hughes delivers the invited opening lecture at ICFP

Last week John Hughes delivered the invited opening lecture at ICFP, the ACM's prestigious International Conference on Functional Programming, held this year in Freiburg, Germany. More than 300 participants from academia and industry attended the week-long event, including over 100 at the "commercial users" workshop. John Hughes presented Quviq, QuickCheck, motivations, and examples from real applications. The lecture can be viewed at Google Video, where over 800 people watched it in the first two days.
